The Elite Squadron was formed in September of 1998 by Elite_Hades. It would go on to become one of Fighter Ace’s most legendary squadrons. Starting in version 1.0.

After an absence of almost 4 years we are once again in the skies of Fighter Ace.

We pay no particular allegiance to any of the teams, but rather encourage each other to fly different camps and to learn all the characteristics of all the planes available. One of the best ways to know how to combat a particular plane is to have flown that plane and learned its attributes, both positive and negative. The politics of whatever camp we may be flying for is irrelevant. We fly for the pure enjoyment, challenge, and excitement of it.

We are primarily a Territorial Combat and Event squadron.  We adhere to established wingman and squadron tactics.  We specialize in fighter planes.  We are most often found at the hot spot on the front providing cover for not only our own, but everyone who is flying the same team as us. 

Membership with Elite Squadron is by invitation only.  Not that you can’t petition, some have successfully.  Primarily membership is attained only after developing a good relationship with the squadron and proving yourself to be a team player, good wingman, and not afraid to fly against the numbers.  At that point one of Elite’s pilots will usually sponsor the candidate.  The squadron will then review the candidate and vote. After a short probationary period full membership is granted. We are always glad to take a look at former Co’s and Xo’s tired of the trials of command and looking for a good home.  

If you engage an Elite check your 6, you will likely have another Elite on your tail.
